Why CCA Archery?

CCA archery, like all CCA Athletics, seeks to incorporate all the areas of academic virtue into physical, spiritual, and mental acuity. What is learned in the classroom is incorporated into what the student does on the field. Students are encouraged and taught to think creatively and critically, utilizing classroom knowledge and training to perfect their athletics abilities. Moreover, our athletes are discipled to ensure that the honing of their physical skills is accompanied by the maturing of their spiritual character and love for God. Here are some reasons:

Coach: Philip Ledbetter

Philip Ledbetter began studying fencing and archery at age 6. His more disciplined study of fencing started in High School when he continued his studies at the Fencing Institute of Texas. While in college at Oklahoma Baptist University, he took on a more focused study of archery. Coach Ledbetter's love for fencing and archery have kept him active in the sport to this very day. He has even been called upon to choreograph for the OBU Theatre Department. He has taught Fencing and Archery at CCA since he began teaching here in 2008.
