Doug and his wife, Dana co-founded CCA in 2004. They have three children who attended CCA, homeschool and public schools. Doug is currently employed as a Supply Chain Director for an Aerospace and Defense firm, and recently completed his PhD coursework at Dallas Baptist University with his dissertation focused on Meaning and Purpose in Life, Generativity, and Legacy within the UMS setting. He earned an MBA from the University of Dallas, and a Bachelor’s from Michigan State University. Doug is an adjunct teacher, including a Udemy on-demand class, spoken at several NAUMS and ACSI conferences, as well as authored three books (one about the founding of CCA). When not writing or researching he enjoys reading, traveling, and watching sports.

The Kitch family joined CCA in 2016. Kevin and Kelly married in 1998 and have three children who attended public school prior to coming to CCA. Kelly is currently the Elementary Minister at Cottonwood Creek Church in Allen. In 1997 Kelly began her career in early childhood education. Her formal education led her to earn her BA in Psychology from UNT in 2002 and later a MA in Christian Education from DTS in 2018. In 2002 Kelly was certified in Texas to teach Special Education, K-12. Kelly’s call to ministry started in 2009. Since then, she has acquired certifications as a Licensed Minister, Stephen Minister, Prepared and Enriched Marriage Minister, and Evergreen Parenting Facilitator. Having experience in psychology, child development/family studies, special education, and ministry, she now sees how all the years work together for His purpose as she serves adults, children, and families. Whether Kelly is working, or helping her kiddos with life, she can be found sporting Birkenstocks year-round with a mug of coffee or hot tea. Reading, taking walks, and connecting with others is how she relaxes long enough to take in all this life has to offer.

Harry and Darla Ryan are retired educators and are blessed with 5 children and 11 grandchildren. Dr. Ryan served CCA as Vice Principal from 2016 to 2018 and one of their grandchildren currently attends CCA. He worked in public education in Oklahoma and Texas for 35 years as a teacher, principal and central office administrator. Dr. Ryan retired from Allen ISD in 2016 as Executive Director of Special Services and joined CCA that year as well. He earned a BS in Special Education from the University of Central Oklahoma, a MS in School Administration from Midwestern State University and a Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas. Dr. Ryan has served as adjunct professor in graduate education for Midwestern State University and Wayland Baptist University in Wichita Falls and currently serves on three non-profit corporation boards.

Tim and Mary Fischer have been parents at CCA since 2015. The oldest of their 6 children is a CCA graduate, and the other 5 represent elementary, middle and high school at CCA. Tim earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering in 2006 from Texas A&M University and has worked in the industry of electronics design and design automation. They are actively involved and life group leaders at Crosspoint Church. Tim and Mary enjoy family adventures, cooking and international cuisines, camping, reading and music.

Jorge (from Mexico) and Julie (from Minnesota) met at bible college, graduated, got married in 1991 and served in church ministry in Mexico for five years. They returned to Texas in 1996 and have been living in McKinney since 1999. Their children, David and Jessica, started Kinder and Pre-k at CCA in 2007 and both graduated from CCA. Julie joined CCA’s faculty in 2009 and Jorge accepted the invitation to serve on CCA’s board in 2011. CCA’s education deeply influenced David and Jessica’s walk with Christ and has given them a firm Christian foundation for their future. Jorge (MBA & CPA) works in corporate accounting.

Sandy Hanson, M.Ed., has worked in education for 30+ years as a public-school teacher and administrator, a consultant to the Region 10 ESC, and finished her career by serving as Cornerstone Christian Academy’s principal for 15 years. She and her husband have two grown boys who graduated from CCA in 2016 and 2017.
